YouTube Favorites
When a user adds a video to their Favorites, it stores them an easily accessible place that essentially tells YouTube that they love your video so much they want to put it somewhere they can easily find it to watch it again. It’s a great sign, and one could argue that it means more than a Like. Both are good, however, let’s talk more about Favorites.
YouTube is increasingly becoming a community-centered website that values the input from its users and visitors. When a video has tons of views and not a single like, comment or favorite, it looks strange doesn’t it? That’s because that isn’t natural. It’s organic for a video that has thousands of views to have at least some sort of interaction with it. It would be natural for at least a few people to have clicked on the Like or Dislike button (hopefully the Like button!).
Even better, as we explained above, is having your video added to Favorites. Though it is not as visible to visitors as your Likes and Dislikes, we feel it is very good for Google to know people have liked your video enough to add it to their Favorites list. While we can’t guarantee that our staff will come back to watch your video again, we can definitely guarantee that you will have real people add your video to their Favorites lists. In fact, since you are not showing your video to your target audience with us, you should not expect much, if any, future interaction with our viewers.
YouTube is increasingly using community interaction as an important factor in ranking videos, so keep up with and stay ahead of the trend by adding Favorites to your video!
We also now offer geo-targeted Favorites. If you would like your video added to the Favorites lists of a specific group of viewers, we can offer that. For example, you only want British residents to add your video to their Favorites lists, then we can make sure that only our staff in the U.K. add it. If you’d like your video to be added to the Favorites list of a group of people from, say, Southeast Asia, we can also have that arranged.
